Recipe for ramen noodles and chicken

Japanese cuisine is known for its intense flavor and for being natural, carefully executed and, therefore, healthy. Ramen noodles and chicken are one of its amazing – and most delicious – examples.

If you want an exquisite dish, full of aroma, then ramen noodles and chicken are an ideal choice. Not only is this soup nutritious and easy to prepare, it is also packed with simple, healthy ingredients.

Soup with ramen noodles and chicken is a traditional recipe that is now a staple in Asian cuisine in the rest of the world. The basic ingredients are chicken broth and ramen noodles. For many decades, the spices, vegetables, legumes, proteins and carbohydrates used in cooking are the resultant imprint from every region of Japan.

At present, there are many different – and just as delicious – recipes for this soup. Once you get started, it will be a simple and fun process to make a soup with ramen noodles and chicken.

Shoyu ramen noodles and chicken

Ingredients

  • 1 liter of chicken broth
  • 3 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 chicken breast fillets
  • 400 g fresh ramen noodles ( approx. )
  • ½ cabbage head
  • 2 boiled eggs
  • Salt to taste
  • Chives or chopped parsley
  • Sesame seeds

Cooking

  1. First, boil the chicken broth and soy sauce in a large saucepan.
  2. Next, lower the heat to medium heat, then add the chicken breast fillets. Boil them for five minutes and set them aside.
  3. Next, cut the chicken out and put it back in the pan, along with the broth.
  4. Then, add the ramen noodles, and  cook them for five minutes.
  5. Add salt to taste.
  6. In a separate saucepan, cook the two eggs for 10 minutes. Then, divide them in half, and set them aside.
  7. Cut the cabbage leaves into thin strips and add them to the pan with the broth – about  30 seconds before the noodles have finished  cooking.
  8. Serve in individual dishes, and place half an egg on each serving.
  9. Finally, garnish with finely chopped chives or parsley and sesame seeds.

Soup with ramen noodles and chicken

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breast fillets
  • 3 tbsp. chopped garlic
  • 2 tsp. ginger
  • 2 eggs
  • Salt
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 3 tbsp. soy sauce with a low sodium content
  • 1 tbsp. vegetable sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 30 g shiitake mushrooms
  • 1 tsp. sea ​​salt
  • 100 g dry noodles or fresh ramen noodles
  • 1 liter of chicken broth

Cooking

  1. First, preheat the oven to  190 ºC.
  2. Next, season the chicken with salt and pepper, and place it on a hot pan with butter. Fry over medium heat for five minutes, or until golden brown on both sides.
  3. When they are done, put them in the  oven for 15 minutes,  and set them aside.
  4. Then, in a separate pan, cook the ginger and garlic in oil for five minutes. Next, add soy sauce.
  5. Add chicken broth after one minute. Cover the pan until it boils, then remove the lid; keep it on low heat for another five minutes. 
  6. Add shiitake mushrooms and let them cook for 10 minutes, over low heat.
  7. Boil the eggs for eight minutes, then dip them in ice water immediately after. Next, peel them, halve them and set them aside.
  8. Boil the noodles in a pan for three minutes. Next, serve them in bowls in which you add the chicken, previously cut into strips, and the broth.
  9. Finally, add the finely chopped chives, eggs and salt to taste.

Soup with ramen noodles and chicken as well as vegetables

Ingredients

  • 140 g diced chicken breast
  • 200 g ramen noodles ( approx. )
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 liter of water
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 5 cabbage leaves
  • 1 tbsp. teriyakisauce
  • 1 tbsp. ketchup tomato sauce
  • Salt
  • 1 tbsp. oil

Cooking

  1. First, heat the oil in a pan, and  brown the chicken in cubes for 5 minutes. 
  2. Next, add salt to taste, and set it aside.
  3. Subsequently, chop the onion, pepper and carrot into julienne strips, and incorporate them into the same pan where you have fried the chicken. Fry them for about 10 minutes so they are al dente. Next, take them out of the pan and set them aside.
  4. Then, add the cabbage strips to the pan, and fry it for 1 minute. 
  5. Add chicken and vegetables, and also add the contents of the spice package – it is in the package with ramen noodles.
  6. Furthermore, add teriyaki sauce, tomato sauce and water, and stir well.
  7. Finally, when it boils, add the ramen noodles, and let it simmer. Next, let it cook for another four minutes.
  8. Serve hot.
