If you do not face your problems, they will be with you until you finally close the chapter. If you do not solve problems, they will return to you.

We like to list around the situations that hurt the most ; turns our backs on our fears, and flees from what we are most afraid of. But what you do not get fixed in your life ends up coming back to you.

There is no point in closing your eyes and pretending nothing. The circumstances that affect us the most are the ones we need to deal with.

How can we do this? We must face them, and  use our fears as a motivator to overcome them.

If you do not solve problems, they will return stronger

It is important that you solve problems and do not hide

Everything you do not get fixed, what you ignore, what you are so afraid of, comes back to you, stronger than before. It’s the way of life to say, ‘No, it’s not working!’

If you are not aware, if you do not resolve the situation,  you will experience the same thing next time, just on a larger scale.

Let’s look at a few examples:

Anna is 37 and all her romantic relationships end badly. She has suffered from infidelity, exploitation and lack of attention from the other person in the relationship.

What’s Anna’s problem?

Anna begins her relationship by being afraid of being abandoned. But first and foremost, she enters into relationships she does not really want to be in. She is afraid of being alone, so until she overcomes that fear, her relationship will always be barren.

Pablo, on the other hand, is 28 and cannot get a job. He has had a few jobs, but they have only lasted a few months, some even only a few days. Once he has been for conversation, he is rarely called in again.

Pablo’s problem is that he’s so scared of failure. Until he overcomes the anxiety that tells him that here is something he has to deal with, he will be out of work.

Our attitude to life is very important. When we have a fear or a trauma that blocks parts of our lives, then that is where we start to get into trouble.

What is the use of fleeing?

You have to face your fears

Knowing that, then, what is the use of fleeing? Running away from what you are terrified of, what you are trying to avoid, is just a way to prolong a condition that affects you and will not go away.

Unless you face it, the problem will continue. The more you turn your back on, the greater the intensity it will have when it shows up in your life. Therefore, it is important that you solve problems in time.

So escape is a counterproductive option. But it is not easy to face his fears either.

What can you line up?

  • Acknowledge that you are afraid:  You flee from it, you ignore it, but you deny it? Accepting his fears is the first, important step.
  • Examine where it comes from:  Try to remember the first time the anxiety appeared and what triggered it.
  • Be objective about your fears:  It is time for you to look at your fears from the outside, and ask yourself, “What is the worst that can happen?”

Now that you know all of the above, it’s time to stop being afraid of something that can be fixed. Although it is clear that it will hurt. It is the case that when you clean a wound, it stings.

But when things get worse, you better see that  you should not ignore the barriers that hold you back. They just make your wound even deeper.

All of this will help you focus on the wound, be aware of it, and be able to heal it.

It is important that it forms wounds so that it does not remain open. You can not keep carrying around something that once created a fear that now unnecessarily hangs on.
